thoughts on running a 3" trackbar bracket w/ 2" leveling kit.

i have 2" leveling spacers and the axle is pulled to the drivers side now. i just recieved my 3" relocation bracket from bds and am planning on installing it tomorrow.

my thoughts are that 1 " off from factory should be better than 2" fight? the only thing is that it will be 1" in the opposite direction so i dont know if that would be bad for any reason.

im also considering welding and re-drilling the holes in the bracket for 2" as it seems there is enough room to do so. then it would be perfect.

what are your opinions on using the bracket as it is for the 3" relocation? would there be worse to offset the axle in the opposite direction towards the pass. side for any reason instead of towards the drivers side as it is now?

i've never heard of anyone needing to replace bracket with only a 2" level kit. i did the bracket on mine with 3 1/2" lift but have only needed to do longer shox on previous ctd's i owned that only had 2" level kit.

If you want the axle centered you either need a longer track bar or a drop bracket. Ghost Ram went with a drop bracket.

You will have bumpsteer if you install a 3" track bar drop and don't install a 3" drop pitman arm at the same time.

I would send the drop bracket back.

I you are that ****, get an adjustable trackbar to center the axle.

drop bracket worked out great, axle is now centered and alignment went great as well. i left the caster positive 5.5 and the truck drives straight as an arrow. bump steer doesnt seem to be a problem so far. there is actually plenty of room in the bracket to drill another set of holes for a 2" drop, so if i have any problems i will go that route.
