How do you keep water (rain) from filling your stacks? Do you notice soot all over the bed of your truck? I would hate to have to pack around a couple of coffee cans all the time.

Here is what I do. You can always drill a small hole in the exhaust on the underside. There are alot of us that have had no problem. If you get the clamp together style, there is enough imperfections for the water to leak out. The only thing you can do about/help with soot, is to get turnouts.

the way I figure it is either I get

no stacks no soot
or
stacks and soot

I'll just take the stacks and deal with it, Just make sure your inside the truck and nobody is close when you start it, otherwise they'll get soot on them.

I have no hole in my exhaust but the turnout does get water in it, so I just get a rag and use the leftover rain water on the truck to wipe it off.

I've already bought a 5" splitter (runs across the bottom of the bed) from our local truck shop for 75.00 It reduces down to 4" at the entry. I also have the 4" bent pipe that will connect my flex hose to the factory exhaust pipe. I'm working on getting a 4" electric cut-out. So I can run the factory exhaust and put my muffler back on do it can be quiet on long hauls. And I need a set of stacks. I don't want them to stick up above the cab more than an inch or so. I'm looking at 7" x 36" mitre cuts from grand rock. $275.00 it says on their website. Is this price each or per pair? Been thinking about going ahead and biting the bullet. All I need now is the expensive stuff.

Ya when I saw mine for the first time I just started shaking my head and walked away. But they get smaller after awhile.

That price seems to be for 1 stack. I sell GR pipes and wholsale, they are $187 a piece.
