It's not my truck and turbo, so I don't care what filter you run.. but you have been warned they are known to do a lot more harm than good.

I can not speak on the Home Depot version, but I can on the Lowes version. I have never had a problem with snow or water. Lowes sell a conical critter guard that sets right in, so when I change the filter I lift the critter guard out and spray it off.

Tons of two track and dusty gravel roads amd long winters of dry snow and never an issue with the Home Depot mod. I even ran the 4" drop into a 4" to
6" rubber sewer flange. Stuck it facing forward in the fog light hole.

I bet the reason you don't have a dust issue is that its in the fog light hole. When its directly above the ground they suck up dirt!
