? for those with dash pod gauges

i am buying gauges tomorrow and figured i would ask since i am still undecided. if you have gauges mounted in a pod on your dash (the autometer one) are they easy to see? i know they're right in front of you, but your eyes still have to change focus to see them. i was looking at my dash today while driving and it seems like the gauges would be kinda far away. if you have yours mounted this way, do you wish you would have mounted them on the pillar? or somewhere else? and why? thanks.

I've had my dash pod on my truck since I bought it and couldn't be happier with it.

ive had 2 different set ups since i got gauges... current in-dash pod with a srt pillar pod and a 3 pillar pod with a steering pod. i liked the 3 gauge pillar pod better, cause its right there in your face. the dash mounted gauges shouldnt be that bad cause its pretty much in your line of sight.

Not sure if you're talking about this one, but it is very easy to see:

I've got the three gauge pod that mounts on the dash and I really like it. I've had pillar mounts and think that they look nice, but for me, they are too close to me especially on the third gen rigs and at night the lights that close to my eyes really bother me. The only complaint that I have with my current setup is the glare I get of the curved glass of my Isspro gauges but as far as easy to see without diverting my eyes, I couldn't be happier.----Matt

I've got both a triple a pillar and a dashpod with gauges. I like both of them. It is just as easy to look at one vs the other. The dash pods take a little work to get them to install and look right. And on both that I have installed I have had to cut the screws off because they would stick up too far and make contact with dipricol gauges that I use. For just a few gauges I would probably go with the a pillar and if you need more then add on a dash pod. Tac

Out of all of my gauges, the ones in the dash pod are the easiest to see while driving. If I ever get another truck the dash pod gauges would be the first to be installed...

Yep. I have the dash pod and I love it! They are very easy to see and read in any light. It makes sense since they are at the bottom of your field of view at all times. Im looking at getting a rail pressure and fuel pressure guage which I am leaning towards adding them on the steering column...still researching though!

I have Boost and Fuel pressure in the Autometer dash pod (one open hole)and Pyro in an SRT pillar, works well for me. I don't think I would like a 3 guage pillar as the single is almost too close for refocusing especially at night.
