Thinking about buying a commander

I have a manual trans and therefor do not need a trans guage, so I have read. I thought I read somewhere that the trans guage could be used for the rear diff. What do I need to get to do this? I am also going to go with the fuel pressure kit. Is that all that I need to buy the commander and additional fuel pressure kit?

yup. One advantage to the Commander is that you can pick & choose which gauge you want displayed. You have the choice of 1, 2, 3, or 4 on the screen at the same time & can pick from all of the sensors you want displayed.

Yes, you can make it an oil temp.
Because its a one wire sender, I'd be temped to put it on a switch and jump between different temps.

Jus got mine installed yesterday and i do say its a nice setup! Install isnt to difficult, other than the rail pressure connection, quad if you see this you might want to add it to the directions, in the directions you say to connect it to the green wire on the harness to the box that you sell, and if you dont have that box then your kinda lost, but i found it online that it was the middle wire to connect to. Might simplify a few problems with future buyers. Other than that i like it!

The Commander includes one probe that can be used for either tranmission temp or oil temp. I had a manual tranny so I used the probe to monitor oil temp.

I was told to install the wire tap for the rail pressure to the center wire in the rail pressure connection. It works perfect on mine. Just install the wire tap to the center wire of the (3) wires.

Just so you guys know you can actually plug the trans temp sender into anything you want. It just comes with stuff to go into the transmission or into a port on the oil filter housing to read oil temp.

Since it uses its own sensor you could literally just leave it in the cab and measure coffee temp if you wanted to!

So I could mount it to a switch, get another probe and toggle between oil and tranny temp

Keep track of your own body temp with it.

Thanks
