Think I broke HTS shaft tonight
went to track for first time finally since having truck together. 1st run I ran 12.2 not running full out. 2nd run I tried boosting to about 12psi let off brake and truck doesnt move. I have full trans with ALL billet shafts. I can feel tranny shift when I go from park to drive reverse etc I feel it change and idle changes. Transfer case shifhts through alll the gears so what did I break. Also glad it was a dodge to tow me home.

I dont know if you read my last post about my tranny. i broke mine at the track too. i just pulled it out tonight, my TC EXPLODED! sounded like a rattle trap fishing lure. i but thats what went on your too. i had the same symptoms as you. it would park and go into gears, but wouldnt go. actually mine did creep if i reved it up to about 2K in drive and reverse. transfer case was working too.

these hts trannys make a lot of noises when shifting back down. i think i was told if the intermediate goes you still end up having reverse....im not sure though. mine had nothing cuz my converter was in pieces. its going back to dusty today hopfully, to get cleaned out, and my converter is going back to suncoast.

Sounds like a broken output, that's exactly how I broke mine(20psi 4x4 launch). These billet shafts are not what we all think they are, they are VERY BREAKABLE, which sucks!

It sounds like a broke inter shart when mine broke at track it left hard an went maybe 10' an i had no forward are reverse just park. Also at the same time i twisted splines on billet output which was only a week old. After calling around i was told by 2 of the major tranny builders i had US shafts an wanted to located the 1s made in Canada with better metal. I did an haven't had anymore problems since has anyone else heard that?

OK, so let me get this strait, the US made billet shafts are not as good as the Canada made billet shafts? Because of the steel used?

Yea it was depressing when you have to pull tranny back out an apart a week after building it with what ended up being 2 bad sharts on a truck making less than 600hp at the time with stock stixs an turbo. It was also agrevating not to be told the difference till after they broke atleast i did get them exchanged for CA shafts free of charge but was still out my time a labor.
