I'm not a big computer guy either but the instructions were straight to the point and I had no troubles in following them. One problem I have run into though is when I had it on performance tune and was reprogramming it to economy. I accidentally programmed it to performance AGAIN (it was already on that) instead of the economy I wanted. Had to wait the 5 minutes then reprogram yet again this time for sure to ECONOMY and wait another 5 minutes 
It'll be second nature in no time though I only had to sit through a couple of wasted 5 minute uploads to learn to make it right finally.
