temptations.........
I am more of a lurker here, but after just purchasing my truck a couple of months ago and sitting here at work reading the forums----I am addicted. I really dont need the extra power , but just the thought of being able to do it drives me nuts ! So what do you-all think of these add ons, roktech muffler and sensor, quad zxt tow box , maybe alittle swiss cheese on the airbox --- I think I could be happy with that for a daily driver of course with a few interior goodies , oh and power wagon flares , and .................I never thought of my hemi this way.

those mods will just make you want more. it always happens.

Yeah, if you don't have or intend to spend several thousand dollars.....
LEAVE IT STOCK!
Once you get a little taste of how easy it is to add seroius power to these trucks, you will not be able to stop. Trust me, I know. I bought my truck 18 months ago. I didn't know hardly anything about diesels or bombing them (still have lots to learn) but started doing some research on line to try to increase my knowledge. Then I stumbled accross this site. Within 6 weeks, I had a box and modded intake. Then I went about 3 months and did exhaust. Then about another 3 months and upgraded the box. Shortly after, I did the tranny stuff. Somewhere in there I did a Rokktech. Then I added the Snow kit. Now I have added a box stack and am currently waiting for an exhaust manifold and turbo to arrive at my door. Oh wait, 315s, rocker trim, fold a cover.
Anyway, you get the idea.
Also, if you're married, I hope she is VERY understanding about men and their diesels. Luckily, my wife loves ours. However, I need to back off for a while, as she is starting to get a little tired of me spending all the savings.

I can resist anything, other than temptation...
This is the first truck I've ever really done anything to. I've not done a lot yet, but the intent is there. I've said all along I wouldn't do that much to him before 36K miles (Just a thing -- no reason) but I'm hooked... All it took was taking the silencer rings and baffles out of the intake. I was done! It's turning into a costly habit that I see is going to be hard to stop. I've actually stopped myself from buying shoes and clothes that I've liked with the thought -- Hey!!! I could get this or that for my truck!!! If a chick can turn down clothes and shoes you know she's got it bad!!!!
Muffler Elminator from Geno's showed up today... Drop brackets and Bilstein's coming from Lorenz... I've had the truck right at four months.... It doesn't take long to get hooked.... I've managed to stay away from the power stuff for now, but don't know how much longer I can fight it!!!
Good luck with that temptation and have fun!!!

Expressfish, I know what you mean. I am addicted to this site too. I spend so much time downstairs on computer on DTR that my wife asked me was I CHATTING online with another woman. HeHeHe!! I am going to get a laptop so I can sit by her and read DTR while she watches those dumb TV shows like THE BIGGEST LOSER, HGTV, & EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER. We need an extreme CTD makeover show. Oh BTW my XZT Tow box, Commander, and pillar mount just arrived. ( To go with my BullBar, Billet Grille, custom Ram hood ornament, fender flares, side steps, add on leather seats, bigger tires, metal rollup tonnea and B&W turnover ball, headache rack, window shades. Custom 5thWheel tailgate is being made. Next week, Fastcooler man. trans. cooler, GDP 2 micron fuel filter. In the Future -- GearVendor Unit and who knows what else. I'm glad I don't keep up with how much money I have spent on this truck, and of course its not over. Let me know how your XZT works out and I'll do the same. Good Luck and be prepare for interrogation by your wife or girlfriend.
