boost fooler changes the signal that the factory ecm sees as a reference signal for manifold pressure generated by the turbo. it allows the turbo to generate more boost basically by lying to the computer. it allows the truck to throw more fuel at the motor, which in turn makes more exhaust driving the turbo faster, making more boost. more boost=more power. to a point. about about 35psi, the factory turbo will be overspeeding making hot air, hot air=less dense intake charge=higher egt.

I'm a Boost Fooler beta tester.

and i love mine....and most people are very skeptical of it....but try one, you'll see.

Running JUST a boost fooler on your truck won't do much of anything.

Programmers (except the smarty supposedly) cant do boost fooling. Running Crazy Larry was fun down low but lacked top end pull because it was running stock boost.....not to mention excessive EGT's.

Running a boost fooler with a Bullydog Triple Dog on 90hp or above, its a blast to drive. It pulls harder, and will flat move from 70-110. I see spikes at around 48psi....and EGTs are manageable! EGTs used to hit 1500 easy on CL but now run around 1350 unless i am really, really ******* it when it will hit 1500. i was going 30 the other night and broke the tires loose as soon as my turbo spooled...boost at around 40psi. its a blast to drive....with a great price.

Use one with a bullydog or superchip. you WILL love it.

My Edge Juice does boost fooling. I don't have a hard line boost gauge to know exactly how high it goes, but the Attitude monitor will show 41psi, when I only get about 36psi stock.

This is true but, not true. Yes above 35psi the turbo is getting out of its most efficient range. Yes 40+psi of boost out of the stock turbo would be hotter than out of a larger aftermarket turbo.

The problem that is not totally right is that the hotter temps will maek higher egt's. I can assure you that even on a stock truck running more boost out of the stock turbo will result in lower egt's. I can also assure you that on a modified truck the egt's will be way lower with the added boost even if you are running 45-48 psi.

Now if you had an aftermarket turbo at 40psi and the stock one at 40psi obviously the aftermarket trubo will run cooler as it should be made to run at higher boost levels.

I want to say it one last time that even on the stock turbo increasing the boost pressure will definately cool your egt's on anything from a stock truck up to heavily fueled trucks with the latter seeinf more of a benefit than a stock truck.
