Turn the truck off hit the odomater reset and hold it for 8 sec.the hour meter will show up! its on all of our trucks.

If you are talking about the HR meter. then NO you do not need a tool just work with the RESET switch on your dash.you know the TRIP meter switch!
once you are on odomater hold it for 8 sec. it will then tell you hours!
on the 3 gen anyway!

Come on people, the only way you can fully utilize the power of Smarty or Diablo is by having so many other supporting mods such as bigger/better turbos and built trannies and better fuel systems, that there's no way you're gonna have a warranty anyway. So lets not play stupid. Let's stand up and be men for freakin' once. Tell the truth. My truck is so modded, I wouldn't consider pulling up to a dealers garage door.
Those of you who truly know better understand where I'm coming from. Those who don't will someday.
