suspension question
Which would look better, just a leveling kit or doing the kore kit where it does the 3 inches in front and 1 inch in the back? If i did the kore kit i would still be able to pull a gooseneck no problem right? and does anyone have an idea on how much those kore kits run?

I vote for the KORE kit. It gives you a little more height and a much better ride. You should be able to pull a gooseneck I believe. I don't think the mini-packs affect your load carrying capacity, but I may be wrong on that. That kit runs about $1500-1600. I just priced one out the other day.
Before you buy anything, I would recommend calling and talking with KORE, Carli, Lorenz, and expecially Don Thuren @ Thuren Fabrication. I have heard that his kits ride better than any of the others and he has some awesome stuff. Plus he is always lingering around these boards to help out with technical, questions, etc. I have never seen any of the others on here......

Yeah you could run 35x12.50x20's no problem or even 35x13.50x20's with the correct backspacing. I think you'll find that lot's of guys o here prefer Don. Instead of building a single kit, he builds what you want to fit your needs.

the guy at kore told me you can still pull a trailer with their kit, it doesn't affect weight carrying capability. i can't remember the address for carli or thuren. do a google search... i believe thuren is thurenindustries.com

well i got to reading on thurens sight, and said all of the products were tested for off road use, so I think i'd want something DOT legal. if anyone has anymore information, please post, i'd apprecaite it

I recommend Don Thuren 1st, Carli 2nd. Performance wise these two are the best.
Everything I have (except for my limit straps - bought those from Sage) was bought from Don. Everything I have was installed at Sage's (Carli) shop. I have met both (and Baja Mike from Sage's shop) and they're all great guys and know their stuff. Don't confuse Thuren Fabrication or Carli Suspension with the local lift shop or offroad shop. Those places can't hold a candle to what these guys can do.

You've got a lot of options to read up on. I choose what's in my sig and I have some rear rake (about 3/4) of an inch... That way I wouldn't suffer as easily from tail drag when towing... That's what this truck is for anyway right?
That lift gave about 2 inches up front and a tad more than an inch in the rear... It was only about $1100 too not including the trackbar and I installed it in the better part of one day. Fits 35 inch tires fine.
If you go with anything below 5.5 inches of backspacing from what I've read you might get some rubbing unless you step up to something a little more than 2 or 3 inches... That's pretty general.

I could not agree more. If you are just looking for a great priced 3" lift with a way better than stock ride go with Carli's Starter kit for approx $1375, you would not be sorry you spent the money. If you want to increase your ride quality even more and have the money to spend call Don and talk to him about one of his package deals. Or if you just want to do the front for now and then the back later like Pauly and I did, Don can set you up that way too. I ended up doing the rear springs and I am waiting on Don's double bypass shocks to come out. What ever suspension system you decide to go with pay the extra $350 and get Don's track bar.
