Surprise found at dealer
Took truck in today for the TSB mileage download and have them look into the oil seapage from the breather tube. Noticed from the look-out window over the sevice area a few techs looking under the hood. Figured they were checking out the air intake and exhaust mods and I was due a meeting with the manager. They came and got me and said they wanted me to see something they did not like. Well it was not a story about my mods, it was to tell me that they would have to order the breather assembly under the cover and would replace it along with the leak they noticed from the valve cover assembly, I didn't even notice the seapage around that, BUT the best part was the mouse nest under the cover between the breather assembly and the oil fill opening, nothing was occuping it at this time. I WAS asked if I noticed any difference in the truck performace with the air intake and exhaust mods. I replied with a firm yes, along with the noticeable turbo sing and fuel economy increase that I was happy with it, followed by "Is there any problem with any of this from your view point?" Happy to report their answer was no.

I called the STAR center and was told that the breather is supposed to seperate the oil from the venting air and deposit the oil back into the crank, they feel the breather assembly is saturated with oil and needs to be replaced. The older Cummins used to have a bottle you needed to empty.
