Question Superlift Question

I want to lift my 04 quad cab and i was looking into kits. Since noone really makes 8 inch kits i was thinking about going with a 6inch superlift and adding 2 inch spacers on top of the new coils. I hear different things from different suspension shops. Some say it can't be done, some say i need a skyjacker pitman arm, and some say that all i need to do is push the casters on the lower control arms forward. Anyone have any info on this? I really don't know what to do.

Get the Superlift Rockrunner kit. It comes with adjustable control arms. That way you can push the axle formard more because of the spacers. Not sure about the front drive shaft though. You may have to get a longer one.

I have a friend with the same set up or did anyway, The shop could never make it work right, longer arms, reindex on the transfer case, longer shaft. No dice. He went back to a six inch kit. I went with a five inch kit and a three inch body lift. I know people hate them, but so far so good. Lets get some pictures up when you decide

6 inch with the three inch spacer may work, but you really are pulling the tire back in the wheel well, your throwing off the camber caster whicher I forget. Yes the adjustable lower arm would help. BUT I'd do the body lift and 5" if it were me so as to not overstrain the parts such as the pitman arm.
Ohhh By the was SUPERLIFT SUCKS at least on the second gen dodge lifts. Their welds are crap and break, their stacking blocks technique is b.s. and their springs are stiff as hell. Not to mention on the 2nd gens, they take the 4 link and convert it to a 3 link.

Thanks for the input. A friend of mine has a 6 inch superlift with adjustable arms and he ordered a spacer for it. I'll see how and if his setup works, if not i'll stick to just the 6.

hey, i have a 05 2500 diesel, i have a superlift 6 inch, and three inch body lift. i tried to install spacers with the lift but control arms are to short, and the track bar would not come close either, pulled the front end way back. but with the body lift iam running 39.5 iroks with 20x10 motto metal wheels, and have no problem with clearance. WHIPLASH SUSPENSION has big suspension kits, 10", 12" and maybe an 8" not sure about the 8", wish i knew this before i bought my 6". they also sell their lifts in parts, like the adjustable track bar, springs, control arms, etc. you could probally make spacers work with their parts.

i have been running the superlift Rock Runner kit for over a year now and about 45k miles. I have had no problems at all with the kit at all. I even have the sapcers on top of the 6" kit. Extend all the control arms and make your track bar longer and you are good to go. It aligns good, drives good. I did put limiting straps on it and I am using procomp 2.5 shocks that are a lot longer than the superlift ones.
