seemed a bit on the high side price wise to me for what you get. only two power levels, no on the fly ajustment, no defueling. I would have a hard time justifing the purchase will all the other products on the market. I think the cheapest I have seen it is like $485 but maybe you can do better than that.

yeah that is decent. so that puts you at about $600 with boost and pyro guages. yeah I would still want on the fly ajustment for that price. other setups would have it. I guess other setups would not read trouble codes though. so give and take.

Ron (Superchip Tuner),
I recently purchased the Flashpaq for my '05 and love what the performance tune did for my truck. However, I'm hoping you'll be able to answer the following questions:
1. When will the extreme tune be made available, and what kind of performance can we expect with it?
2. How does the Flashpaq make it's power? (Pressure, Duration, Timing)
3. What user configurable options are planned as currently the product is severely lacking in this area?
Thanks!

Flashing the PROM
Personnaly I wouldn't do it, I have read about to many problems.
The PROM on the factory computer could possibly be damaged and then you're in real trouble. Unless the dealer is the one doing the Flash upgrade.
I would go with one of the other add on boxes, much safer in the long run IMHO.

Mojave Rider,
That is one reason we try to suggest a customer add a power module especially if the truck is new enough, because it could void your warranty. Every programmer will leave a foot print, it just depends on how deep the dealer will look to see what you have done.
So if you add a module all you do is plug it on or unplug to take it to the dealer. They will never know it was on there.....unless you forget!
Its just a thought and I am not suggesting anyone NOT purchase a programmer. We sell lots of them and modules and have not had a problem yet. Just another opinion in the ever growing list.......

just uploaded mine today. i set it on the tow mode that is supposed to be a small hp and torque increase. i wasn't looking for the big increaese my truck is a daily driver and i figure the low setting really shouldn't do long term damage. i already have air intake and exhaust. the egts seem to be real low on this setting and i love the speedo calibration. with 35" tires i couldn't get an accurate mpg. i know anytime you mess with these computers you can have problems i am more concerned with doing damage to the engine thats why i stayed with the low setting. i had a super chips before on a gasser and ran it for three years and about 30000 miles with no problems what so ever. just hope to have the same good luck. just my two cents. and thanks to everyone for your in put it really does help.

I have had mine in the performance mode(114hp) for around 2000 miles now,the milage and power are great.I pulled my car yesterday in that setting(6000lbs.) and all was good.It worked fine,at 70mph the EGT was between 7 and 800 degrees. On long hills it would just touch 1100 at the very top.The tranny ran very cool,to my surprise.I saw 36lbs. of boost.Whether you are loaded or not, running it on the floor will net you some high EGT's pretty quick. But I have since enough to keep these bursts short.I havn't had a chance to make a full-on 1/4 mile pass yet with my gauges, but I'll let yall know when i do.I also plan to pull my enclosed trailer soon(12,500lbs.) just to see if I can pull it without getting the exhaust too hot.Don't worry,I watch it like a hawk on the road.
By the way,I put in the 3-gauge pillar with Auto Meter Phantom gauges.I used the green light covers, and it works out great with the factory dash.Almost a match.
