Super Swamper Tires
Has anyone installed the 34-10.50-17 LTB swampers on a dually yet? I am looking for a full on mud tire to run. I would also like an extra set of dually rims if anyone has a set they want to get rid of?

I'd like to know as well, seems like they would make for some decent snow/mud tires. The weight rating looks good, but I don't know how a bias ply tire would wear on a truck that heavy. They're cheap, but would hate to replace them every 4 months...

The LTBs are a bias ply tire. They will probably work great in mud, but like david suggested, they WILL wear out fast if used on the street. I'd bet less than 20K on a heavy truck like a DRW diesel. Since you asked about extra wheels though I'm assuming you will only run them offroad? If so then go buy yourself a bunch of LTBs... they are a great, super agressive tire

I will only be running them ever so offten, thats what the extra wheels are for. I run 38" bias TSL's on my play toy and actually have very good wear with them on the street. I have two tires that have worn out at least one truck and still have very good tread. My only complaint with a bias tire is some trucks handle funny with them. They like to wander all over the road at times, espeacially on a road that has rutts cut into it from big trucks running on it. I just wonder if they will fit without a lift or just a leveling spring up front. And will they be too close together in the rear?

I wanted the Toyo M/T for my truck, but couldn't find any. My second choice was a toss-up between the Swampers and Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip. I heard a lot of negative feedback about the swampers as far as wearing fast on pavement and bad traction on wet pavement. I went with the Parnelli Jones 35x12.50/17. I love 'em so far. I got a good deal from desertrat.com and had them in a week.
This was only a couple weeks ago -- since then, I read on the TDR that somebody was able to get a set of Toyo M/T in the same size from a site.... I think it was something like 1010tires.com maybe? They had them in about a week. Either way, I'm happy with my PJ's and glad that I didn't go with the swampers.

Sampers
Dad has the SSR's on his 99 dodge (for winter) They only hold 35psi, so he has them aired all the way up (these are 31x12.5x16) and they do wear fast. They are radials so they ride pretty nice on the high way. Ours rode very very smooth, but you definatly can hear them, not over the 99 cummins thought. They will only see about 20,000 miles max on a heavy truck, if you rotate, keep them balanced, ect. (also depends how you chew them up off road ect). I would either go with a SSR or the TSL radial and they will be much better when you have to run them on the road (no snow) Have, and can take pictures if you want

I had the 35x12.50x17 Trxus M/T's on my dually. They worked pretty good.I got about 35K miles out of them. Still had tread when I sold the truck. I have a brand new one I bought for a spare in my garage if you're interested. It's mounted and balanced on my spare rim. I sold the truck and don't have much use for it now.

If you want a full on mud tire just get the bogger. I was so much happier with there performance. I did not need 4wheel drive that often. the wear sucked complete *** though. not even sure If I got 20k and that was running them completely bald.
I love my new toyo's. I like them better than any tsl tire but there is no way they are as good in the mud. so if what you really want is an all out mud tire they are probably not the one for you.
they drive so nice and wear so good. something all swamper tires don't do well.

LTB's will NOT last, I've heard of guys only getting 10k miles out of a set on a 1500, so they definitely will not last on a ctd, sorry. They're cheap, and good for light trucks, but not for bigger/heavier trucks
