Super swamper SS M-16 tires
Anybody had a chance to run these or seen them in action. I'm needing a set of tires for my stock wheels for winter and they seem to look fairly aggressive and be reasonably priced
I've looked at the 295/70/17 which is around a 33x11x17 for around $180 each.

These tires are really new so they're arent alot of people running them. I like em cause they're reasonably priced and have a high load rating (the 37's do anyway). What i dont like is they look like they run a little small. Ive seen pictures of two trucks with them and the 37x13.5's look as narrow as my 37x12.5's.

I got a set a week ago, so far I like them went to gaston pull and they done
great pulled 282 ft. I got 300 miles on them so far. Ride good going to pull
my 30 foot gooseneck this weekend then will post a review how they did. I have a 2" leveling kit from topgunz and you can see they are close when turning I have the 295 70 17 and wheels are 17x8 with 4 1/2 back spaceing.

WOW...those tires in 37/13.5/17 have my attention.
4k load rating...and only weigh 75ish lbs...that is 20 lbs a tire lighter than Toyo's or XAT's!.
How quiet are they! Look cool too!

I think that's probably what I'll put on my stock wheels for winter. I like my toyos but these will probably go on my 18's as a next set depending on how they wear.
I'm curious to see how these tires perform off road in slick mud and snow.

I would get them siped if you plan to drive on snow-covered or icy roads. Mud tires without good siping do terrible on slippery roads.
20lbs per tire lighter than Toyo's or BFG's?!?!? That sounds good, but when it comes to tires you want the strongest construction available. A tire with that much less material can't possibly be as strong as one that's 20lbs heavier.

Really...lets not start that again. 4100 lbs load rated beats 3xxx lbs load rated every day.
My 75 lb BFG MTs were every bit as stable loaded as my 97 lb XATs.
Sidewall puncture resistance...well...I would lean towards the XAT...lol.
If these tires are quiet, wear decent, have sticky road manners, and don not suck too bad on ice...they may the best option yet.
Till then...XAT's...

A buddy of mine has 37's on his Duramax. He likes them. Doesn't tow much of anything so not sure on load ratings. But they are noisier than his extreme all terrains he had on. He says there is quit a difference there.
They are a nice looking tire when you see them in person.

In the 295/70/17 size the weight difference is only 3lbs (Toyo's being heavier). There is a huge difference in load ratings though. The Toyo's are rated at 4000lbs and the Swampers are only rated at 2900-3200lbs.
Seems pretty clear to me which model tire is the stronger of the two.

OK...smarty...I was talking big one...and you are talking small ones.
I have some G rated 17" trailer tires...are they better than my 37's too?
Apples to apples here please.

I would agree with you that the 295 size comparison is in favor heavily of the Toyo...and the 37 size is a near wash.
But...haha...there is no but...just kidding.
I am tired of Toyo MTs...there have never worn well for either myself or most of my buddies...loud...and really have poor pavement traction. To me...hard compound and poor mileage seems uhhhhg.
For me...the XAT was the best option because it has near or even slightley better (in few areas like sand) offroad performance as toyos...and have FAR better pavement manners...to stick 800 hp to the ground.
Opinions are just opinions...I know.
I would like to see a set of these M-16'S FIRST HAND.

Instead of "model" I should of used the word "brand" in the last sentence. My point was that the Toyo's appear to be the stronger of the two (in both sizes).

If you want to talk about HARD compounds then lets talk about the Swampers. Super Swampers are well known for using the hardest compounds possible in their mud tires. You don't want a soft compound when the tire is being used in mud because serious gouges will happen when the tires are spinning and come into contact with rocks/sticks/roots/etc.
I'm a fan of Swampers and have a set on two different mud trucks, but the Toyo M/T's have become my tire of choice for the Dodge.
Opinions are like.......well, we all know how that saying goes.
