Super Phat or HTT
So I have finally decided that I'm gonna get a 62/71/14 turbo the question is should i get the super Phat or the Htt. I can get the super for 1595 and the htt for 1605. Should i spend the little extra money (only $10) and get the htt or will the super phat be alright. Has anyone seen them any cheaper, i know a used one will be cheaper but i want a brand new one. All and any input will be appreciated. Thanks

SPS or HTT
Both are good but I say HTT. Hardly anyone gets it right the 1st time and they have a sweet program to upgrade your existing turbo for a moderate charge. Call Dave at HTT and be sure you give him a full accounting of your mods and where you want to go with the truck and how you use it and you'll be very close to where you want to be the 1st time out. Outstanding quality.

I have the II 62/14 and its running good since I upgraded to the Smarty Jr. I only wish is that Smarty Jr. was updateable like Smart for stock injectors w/ aftermarket turbo and low smoke. I did remove the waste gate actuator and install the 100 ohm resistor.

Put the Jr in the classiefieds and get the Sr, then you can do that!

it really has more to do with knowing how to read & following directions with the install !
High Tech Turbos are excellent !
Quality & customer service is even better !
if you are considering the 14 housing
you may want to look at getting the 62/65/13ss that turbo would be a mean quick turbo on the street
the 13ss will spool closer to a 12cm housing and top end like the 14cm and cool quicker then both the 12 or 14
later if you get money wise and go to twins, the 62 ss is great on top of a s400 or s480
call and ask for Dave at HTT IMO Dave is the best source to help you out and he takes care of his customers like no other !
