Hey all,

Im going with a pretty well built suncoast tranny here. triple disk converter, billet input, extreme heavy duty clutch and band kit with extra clutches. What im looking to get at here is how much power are you gentleman and ladies holding with a similar tranny? I dont plan to do heavily boosted launches in 4x4 all the time by any means. I would like to do more but this is about all I can afford to throw into my tranny at this time...

Update: mods right now are only edge juice, intake and exhaust.. but I plan to upgrade shortly after the tranny replacement.

 

Friend of mine has countless boosted 4x4 launches deep into the 12's and a couple high 11's on his Suncoast trans. I think the truck has more mileage in quarter mile increments than driving down the road... He has billet input and output, no intermediate.

 

i have a few hundred 1/4 and 8th mile passes .tranny still cliks off shifts like it did the first day,that is with 800 hp plus or minus a few...

they call it the full metal jacket,not sure exactly but i dont think they left anything out.

 

i have about a hundred 15 psi launches on my tranny, HTS built mine but they use a suncoast TC. im in the 11's too and still puts my head back going into second driving down the road.
if you arnt getting a flywheel, ide still play it on the safe side, but you should be ok for now with just those mods.

 

forgot to add the flywheel is getting upgraded too.
