Striped Banjo Fitting
I just starting threading my Fuel Pressure sendsor into my Banjo fitting. Everything was threading in VERY smooth untill about the half way point. Then the Sendor started stripping the banjo threads. Now, half way down in the banjo fitting in the femal end, the threads are all GONE!. Why is this. Should I keep threading it untill the sendor and banjor fit flush and rely on 5 threads instead of 10 and be sure to get rid of ALL filings or order a new banjo???

I'm not quite following you. Are you installing the pressure sender in the spot the bajo was? If this is the case the bajo is a standard bolt thread and sender is pipe thread.

I am getting ready to put a banjo in the fuel pump, but first I wanted to make sure the sendor from the guage would fit inside of the banjo with no problems. I started threading the sendor into the banjo and it was threading very easy. About half way down, the sender started getting very hard to thread which stripped the banjo and the sendor. Now I have to buy both. What happened.
