Strange issue I think is related to the Predator...
I have been running the Extreme RKL non-stack tune without using the puck for the last few days. The power is awesome but you can't lug the engine at all or you start making some serious smoke. I had an issue yesterday though.
I drove about 250 miles yesterday morning with no issues. After I got back the truck sat for about 6 hours. When I started it up to leave work I immediately got a CEL. This is the third time I've gotten one while running this Predator. It's usually not an issue so I figured I would clear the CEL when I got home. Well, as I tried to leave, the truck had less than stock power. It would not build boost and was going nowhere fast! No smoke or anything even if I put my foot to the floor.
I pulled over and hooked up the Predator to read the codes. Once again when I plug the Predator in and go to that section it always tells me "No codes found!" or something to that effect. I have never been able to read a code yet with this thing! Anyways, I cleared the codes, which always does work even though it tells me it can't find any. The CEL was gone and the truck was back to running fine again.
Any ideas on what happened?
I swear there is a Gremlin in my truck because I seem to have issues with every box or DL I put on it. These boxes always work fine on the next truck! Maybe someone or something is telling me to put it back to stock and quit wasting all my money on it..........

i wonder if its somthing with to high of rail presure?some guys got the cel when running the non stackers with the puck.others had no issues.kinda a hit and miss.try a stacker tune and see if it does it again or turn the puck off.

The Puck is off. Apparently there is no fool proof box that works flawlessly with all trucks. I just can't win!!
It is running fine right now so we'll see what happens in the future. I love the way the truck runs with it on there exactly the way it is on the Extreme RKL non-stacker tune and no puck. It's perfect for me. I'll be on the dyno Saturday sometime and we'll see what she's putting out........

I heard something about the new trucks had an actual limp mode when they overboost or rail gets outside of factory parameters. My .02 says email johan and see what he says. The ext rkl did some strange things on mine too but the power kinda made me overlook it .

Sucks to hear that you are having issues. I was going to download the puffer tunes from the forum today, was having complications so I called them up. I spoke with Mike, and he told me not to download the tune due to some idling issues someone was having. Kind of a downer to not get it in, but at the same time I am glad he came right out and said to just wait till next week some time when they are straightened out.
aggravating to see the issues, but it seems like they are working pretty hard to get new stuff out and revise/perfect any thing they can.

I can deal with some minor issues as long as I can always get the truck running right without a breakdown or a tow bill. The thing I find strange is that I had run it for several days with no issues but then I start it up and out of nowhere the CEL pops up and truck is in limp mode. That is exactly what it felt like by the way. I could drive it but it was not going to be racing anyone like that. Anyways, as I said, we'll see how it goes in the future. Timinva is bringing a Smarty to raffle off at our get-together. Maybe I'll win that!! Top is bringing a FASS and maybe I'll win that too. If either of those guys want me to cook for them then at least one of them is going to have to throw me a bone!! So to speak......

Sounds like the limp mode my truck went into two years ago. Same exact symtoms...but mine had to do with the speed sensor being unplugged in the transfer case...poor mans way to get around tq management
