Actually the M100582 is 51 inches.

What's the length of this one? I'm going to buy one of the two and I don't want it to resonate considering I'm removing all other obstructions.

I think the Donaldson is probably the quietest muffler you can get for the flow(CFM).

What is the best fit for direct replacement of the stocker on a '03 - 4" in, 4" out? The 40" or the 51"?

Any additional parts required besides clamps?

If you have 4" factory exhaust you could use either one, measre the stocker and see which is closest. I went with the 40 cuz I didn't want it to be too quiet, but it's not loud by any means.
If you want the tail pipe angle to remain unchanges you'll beed some offsets since the factory muffler is offset.
I used 45" bends welded together, ratlratl used the 51" muffler but used a "muffler delete" pipe for the offset and it looks good.
See our galleries for pics.

My cat's still in.
Some of the aftermarket mufflers are loud and drone when towing up hills or when under load.

My Kitty ran away.

I used the muffler to just simply quite the interior. Everything was rattling and I couldn't hear the stereo if it was less than about 18

If you leave the kitty in the system, it is not going to quiet it much!!!!!!!!

Installing my 5 inch 51" donaldson M090535 in the morning. Got it from Ryder Fleet products and it came in two days. Chasing down the drone like everyone else.

Is that muffler strait through(no baffles) "5" ALL THE WAY THROUGH", or does it neck down internally?

51" And it stays a full 5" ID all the way though? If so it's the first of its kind.
