straight pipe length?
i am planning on taking off the muffler and running a straight pipe from just behind the downpipe all the way back to where the muffler is. i climbed under the truck to measure the pipe it seemed like it was a about 8 feet long. i would like to know if anyone knows the exact length of the pipe? what does it sound like? i am doing this to hopefully lower egts. can anyone tell me what other advantages this might do, and any disadvantages this will do?
2006 ctd quad cab 4x4 six speed manual with jacobs exaust brake, just reached 60,000 miles, line x, b and w turn over, with prodigy brake controller, recently added edge juice with attitude.

Lemme re-word it...
No smackin from madhat on the first boo boo...
JG, we don't discuss removing the cat on the DTR... no harm, no foul...
Check out the DTR store, there are some good muffler delete pipes in there.

unless of course it's for off road use only which I'm sure in your case it will be.
Don't forget the height difference between the entrance and the exit on the factory muffler. You should be able to get away with a couple of 45's
