stocker/ht3B?

stocker/ht3B?
The stocker/ht3B kit can be had for about $2100 shipped to my door. All i want is a hair over 600hp with 100hp sticks. Do you think it will be fine for what I am doing. I was going to get a single, but for that price, why not at least try it.
I know the S400 is better, but for my application, i have an Arson 3 with a lift pump and i don't want to run any bigger of a CP3 mod. Is there really a substantial difference between the S400 vs HT3B in MY combo to warrant paying hundreds more???

This is true. Very solid turbo. There are a lot of them out there, parts are cheap too.
The downside to them is they are a reverse flow turbo (meaning the direction of the snail is opposite just about every other turbo out there) which means if you want to change it down the line you have to redo all the piping. Of course if you never plan that, you are golden. The other is that it is an old design and not nearly as efficient as the s400. It takes a bit of fuel to get it to spool and is quick to die off as well. This still may not mean anything to you. The "is it worth it?" is subjective to the person with the money in hand. There is no wrong answer here. I ran one for a while and it served me well. There is simply much better to be had now days.
I will say that while the 100hp stix are on the large side to make just 600, 90's would be better, the stock/BHT3B combo may just get you there airwise; I imagine it will be hot though.

I'm not looking to ever make over 650hp. 600-650 is fine for me. I don't feel like replacing broken parts every 2 months on a 900hp truck. Just want a fun truck built on a semi budget
