I like to see what kind of numbers you guys see on a stock truck. You can in my signature that I have an Ice Box and Aeroturbine 4040XL and everything else is stock. I have a Smarty but have not hooked it up yet. I'm trying to get good baseline numbers before loading it.

Today I was pulling a 5500 lb trailer, 92 degrees outside on a relatively flat road, like you'd see in eastern Colorado, and was continually seeing 1000 - 1100. Does that seem hot? I had it in the tow haul mode and the cruise was set at 60 mph. If I hit decent little downhill she'd cool off to the 900's but would come right back up on the next incline.

What am I going to see when I head up to the hills? Please bear with me, this is all new to me.

I am almost stock. The Banks exhaust is a cat back 4" system. My exhaust temps are taken after the turbo and when towing a 8,000 lb travel trailer up Smith mountain heading east the exhaust temp was @ 1,100 f for 30 sec. and then the truck down shifted and the exhaust temp went down to 850 f. After another 60 sec the truck up shifted into 4th and the temp climbed to 1,100 f. This repeated untill I cleared the 1,200 ft elevation. I think most of the run is a 6% grade. I use the tow-haul mode.
