Stock clutch capacity? Please confirm.
Over the last few days, I've done a ton of Internet research and it seems that the stock clutch for my year might be a LuK unit rated at 350hp and 750ft/lb.
If this is correct and with 40k miles, I should be near the peak performance.
The clutch in my truck will hold Smarty Jr on #1 with no problems in any gear at any load.
But #2 SW slips the clutch right around 1900rpm any time the boost is higher than 32lb.
Since SW#2 = 70hp gain...that at the clutch, I'm pushing 395hp and roughly 780 to 800 ft/lb (at the clutch).
Sound feasible?
Given I intend to go to 34" or 35" tires, add a CFM+ manifold and a new CAC to replace my plastic fantastic - it seems I should be looking at a 450hp unit that can handle at least 900ft/lb (at the clutch). Figuring of course that the Smarty JR. will at least at some time see SW#3.
No other mods are in my forseeable future.
All input welcome.

my Nv5600 held my edge juice with attitude fore 60,000 miles and 6 sled pulls. Never slipped even in 6th gear if I lugged it. That clutch was awesome. I have 3 guys though with the G56 and it they just put 50hp on them and they slip right away.

My G56 clutch slips a little with Jr. on #1. When the torque comes on, the rpm jumps up about 200 for about 2 sec. then settles right down to hold the load. The clutch has never been abused, no burnouts, mostly gentle driving for fuel econ. Truck has only 23k miles. I am very disappointed.

My stocker held crazy larry for approx. 14k and never slipped. I actually saved the stocker for a emergency back-up because it looked like new yet.
My receiver hitch still has paint in the inside of it, if that means anything to you.

I've been running Jr for a few thousand miles now on 100hp full time and never once slipped the stock clutch. I'm not beating on it though cause I'm sure it would slip. Looking to get a SB Con OFE this summer. Should hold plenty good for a Jr+X2 stack or probably even a Sr alone.

My stock clutch still holds smarty on sw9 at 72000 miles. Since new it has been a plow truck/tow truck. Have run TS ramifier, Banks 6-gun w/spd loader, TST, edge EZ, and now smarty. The tst is the only one that could spin the clutch when turned up above 5/5. Have a SB OFE waiting for the stock one to fail.

Mine slipped with 29K on it and the Predator on Performance/Economy for the last 2k miles. I just replaced it with a SBC DD 3600# and am very pleased with it. I am going to hang on to mine for a while just in case something goes wrong with the SBC, but I am not thinking that is going to happen.

No slip on sw# 1 & 2 with 2000# on my back and 285's. It's staying on sw#1,however,as i can't afford an SBC now. I'm hoping for a 450 hp,quiet clutch SMF when the time comes. I read differing accounts of the SBC OFE's driveability and noise levels. A competent install is imperative as with any product.
