Stewart Warner Gauges

I'm having some things put on by Dodge before they deliver my new Laramie dually; LineX bedliner, ebrake, nerf bars, 5th wheel hitch, mudflaps, brake controller, 7 pin trailer plug in the bed, and gauges. It will be part of the 0% financing deal so works out well for me.

The parts mgr. is recommending Stewart Warner 2 1/8 gauges in a pillar mount for EGT, Boost, and Tranny temp. Anyone have any experience with Stewart Warner gauges and if so, are they any good.

Thanks,

PS I happen to like pillar mounts, same way I had them mounted in the 01.

working in the oilfield for many of years as a captain the vessels that I was on was built from the early 60's to date used Stewart Warner. They were tough and build for punishment as we would cruise from 20-30 MPH slaming in 12-18 foots waves. I wouldn't mind having a set in my truck.

Nice looking but expensive compared to the other gauges. Then again with quality comes expense... I say go ahead with them.

Let me see here, $300 for gauges and pillar mount, $52,000 for truck ... mouse nuts right?

The concern was the quality and I guess with what they charge they MUST be good right? Either that or they have darn good marketing!

I think 68ss answered my question, if they are good enough for marine use then they should hold up in my land yacht.

Thanks

I've got em and love them !

Go with the autometer dash mount though as it will save you a blind spot.

Rick, how well do they light at night. Real question, not as young as I used to be so how easy are they to read at night.

I have them in my truck....I'll never have anything else. Lighting is better than my old Autometer Ultralites, but still not awesome.

The thing I really like is the needles are a lot brighter at night, so even though you may not be able to cead the whle gauge, you can see where the needles are.

The pics in my gallery are of my old UL's, need to get new ones
