steering stabilizers

i got my leveling kit on, my Blistiens and Pro Comp X AT 35/12.5/20 are on the way now i need a new steering stabilizer. i have been looking at the Defiant ones, they have one for $57 and one for $191. I dont go offroading. Which one do i need? Or is a dual Skyjacker or Tuff country just as good?

cuz if you do defiant is the only double steering stabilizer kit that will fit; and his kit works w/ all brands of ss not just his 191$$ radflo's

what bilstein shock is being used in that set-up? i have 2 bilstein 5100's in my dual set-up, but was under the impression that you couldn't use a single, non-adjustable, gas pressurized shock as a steering stabilizer, because you couldn't adjust the pressure to offset the drifting.

good question haha, i have no clue.. I believe its a custom valved 7100 series, i also have custom valved 7100's on the truck, there designed to work together and not fight each other..

i also ran the dual 5100's on my superlift kit before i switched to the carli kit..

i know lots of people who run the fox ss, and they say they have to play with the pressure a bit, to get it right to offset any drifting- have you had any drifting, or was the custom valving right on? if it was good right out of the box, i would think that this would be a great alternative to the fox ss.

That is actually a dual stabilizer design from Carli. The bottom one is in the right location. Usually you would put a Bilstien on the bottom also. And it is a IFP shock just like Fox S/S.

i was paying so much attention to the bilstein, i didn't even notice there was another one in the picture.

The stocker would be fine until it goes. Then replace it w/ the Bilstien. I have the single set up w/ my suspension. I did drive in a truck w/ the dual set up. Pretty sweet steering.

I called Carli today and you dont need to use the stock one, you can take it off if you want.. The SS is a custom valved one and i addressed everyones questions and they said this one takes place of the stock one..

The reason for the high mount is so when your off roading you dont get the factory one snagged on anything, its 1 of the lowest points..

The top stabilizer is a 7100. You can adjust pressure via the schraeder valve on the frame mount end.

I'm not sure how much pressure is in my Fox 'cause I never had to check. It tracked perfectly right out of the box.
