Steel braided brake hoses
I've been wondering if any of you guys are using steel braided hoses on your rigs. I've read a lot of post on here but none come to mind about this topic. Anyone know of a company that makes them for our application?

I run them on all my vehicles and it is a niticable improvement. Look around locally for a hydraulic and/or aircraft supply shop. We have a local place that will make braided hydraulic lines on the spot for very very reasonable prices. Tested to 4k psi so I know they are safe. Cost just under $100 to do all 5 flex lines (front and rear calipers, plus the single line going to the Y block on the rear axle).

Avoid the Goodridge SS lines. I had weeping problems at the OEM hardline connection. Against my better judgement, I overtightened the connection to try to get them to seal and galled the threads on the OEM line. One side still weeps a tiny bit. Got mad and tried to install new OEM rubber hoses but the OEM hardline fitting won't thread into the new ones because of galled threads. I didn't have a thread chaser that size to try to clean them up. Goodridge said the OEM lines were probably overtightened at the factory. IMO they were not.
A total nightmare.
I definate noticeable difference in pedal pressure needed to stop w/ SS lines. Maybe 20% less.

around my location not much for the places you listed, I have to do most of my shopping on line. When I do find an item I want locally it's more than likely way over priced.
