Stalling issue while off roading.....
This has happened a few time now over the same set of whoops......
While driving over these really closely spaced, relatively deep and steep-faced motorcycle whoops my truck has stalled out on me. Now these whoops put a hurtin' on the suspension, something you have to crawl over in a stock truck. I use them as my test track of sorts. But just about every time I hit 'em the truck dies on me. I've never noticed a hesitation or stumble like it's starving for fuel, it just suddenly stalls. And every time I have had about 1/2 tank of diesel. What the heck is happening? No codes or anything. It's like someone reached up and turned the key to off. Any ideas?

I was thinking that maybe with only about 1/2 tank you were starving the pump with slooshing. But with it starting back up right away.............Maybe your IP has a bad relay. Maybe it's shorting out with he bouncing?

Thats what I was gonna suggest paul. But then I just noticed that your not running an aftermarket pump. I would check your connections to the factory pump over the tank (for you right?) and then maybe buy some dielectric goo ta smear on everything.

I really don't think it's the L/P. If it was, the truck would take time to prime and start. And there is no hesitation before shuting down. I'm still leaning towards something to do with the I/P. OR maybe something shorting out in your steering column?

I kind of think its the ignition. It doesn't take much fiddling with the key to cause the ignition to shut down the truck. I'm thinking maybe while bouncing around the weight of my keys is enough to turn off the ignition. I have caught the lanyard I keep my keys on with my knee and inadvertently turned off the truck. Next time I think I'll remove the truck key from my key ring and see if it happens again.

Ya if have a big bunch of key hanging from your ignition I have heard that eventually you might short it out due to the weight, this is what I heard or read some time ago, I do not know if it was vehicle specific or not
