Stall at highway speed'
hey guys,
The truck just quit going 55 on the main highway. This is the 3rd time in a month. Started up after a few times. Stalled out twice. Crank sensor was replaced after the first 2 times last month. I put some more electirical grease on the quad connectors. I think i will take it off for a week and see what happens. Does anyone think this is an FCA problem?
thanks

Sounds Like the exact same thing I had, - no codes, just stalled and re-started after a few attempts.
Hasn't done it again, seem to be anticipating it happening again.
Truck is always regularly serviced, and this did happen after up grading form Race to RaceII.

I had a simular problem a while back. It would happen only once in a while. Quad reflashed my module but it did it again. I then replaced the quad wiring harness ($35.00) and that solved the problem. I had an older version of the standard with the older wire harness that had to tap in the trucks wiring system. The newer harness doesn't tap in the wiring. Do like I did, take off everything (quad related) and I'm pretty sure it will go away, if it is the module/harness.

thanks for the feedback guys. I took all the wiring off for the X2 and i think i may upgrade to the new harness. I too have the "old" harness.
I will log a couple of months over the winter and see what happens with it off.

I've had it happen 4 times now and I have the new harness. Problem is it's very sporadic. I thought I had it fixed by unplugging and reconnecting everything, but it came back last week. I did notice that the display for fuel pressure froze too - even after the truck was completely shut down (but key still on) it read 1509 for fuel pressure. I'm sure it was zero. Makes me think the box locked up.
I called quad and they recommended to check the pins in the fuel rail connectors, and in the 12 pin to the box. If that doesn't work they'll take a look at the box.
Oh yeah, no codes...

I have had the same exact problem old wire harness and X2 Race. Just driving down freeway and the truck just shuts off. Seems to happen when I let my foot completely off the gas. Has happened twice in the last 3 months....

Anyone have any updates on this?? I also have noticed that the Fuel Rail pressure froze up after the truck died. Was reading 18K even took about 15 seconds for it to clear. Then the truck restarted. I do think the X2 box froze up.
