Chrome will chip & rust.
Stainless will turn gold after a while.

The Gibson turn down that I ordered is 18 inches long. It is a brand new part so it will be a couple of weeks. What length tips are most people running? I want the tip to stick out far enough to keep most of the soot off of my bumper.

 

Most of the tips are about 12" long with longer ones available.

 

I have a pair of 11 year old stainless steel Megs on my old pickup that look like the day they were put on.
