Stage 2 cp3 or dual cp3's on a daily driver
What would be better for a daily driver? I am going to do injectors, turbo, FASS, Smarty etc. Just wanting to know if dual cp3's would be worth the extra money or not. I would really like to be in the high 500 to low 600hp range. Thanks

Winner winner chicken dinner!
Stage 2 or 3 is more than enough for 600hp. I went from a stage 2 to duals, and with added pressure my truck is more responsive with duals. With the single pump I would get an initial drop then a quick recover, with duals my pressure goes 1 way and thats up. As far as the seat of the pants, when Im not running pressure I really cant tell a difference.

Jethro you can always go with twin pumps down the road, I have a floor it stg 2 on the bottom and a ppe stock on the top.
As Rye said with out pressure things are pretty comparible to one modded single pump. With pressure things are much different. I ended up having to add a second 392 walbro to maintain feed pressure.

If I run one of the newer versions of the Smarty do they have pressure built in to there programs? If so will I still be ok to run a newer Smarty with a stage 2 pump.

If your shooting for 600hp then duals are a must especially on a 03. Not to mention a dual setup is a lot more reliable then a hot rod single.

Dual cp3s
1) Relentless (if you have your own two Dodge pumps)
2) Sootman (you'll find him on the Comp Diesel Forum and he's a distributor for PPE and will give you the very best price on their setup. He can also sell you their setup less the pumps, if you have your own).
As others have stated, VOLUME is the word, especially with dual cp3s so eith dual lift pumps or the Mitusa can take care of the job. Opie has two versions of the Mitusa and one will take care of your needs to low 700hp and then he has a Mac Daddy pump for over that, fyi. His pumps are very reasonable compared to anyone's and his big pump will do 275gph on a continuous basis and is supporting R. C. ***'s truck at 1200hp with no problem. It's a great value and keeps you at one lift pump. I have my GDP Walbro electrically looped in just in case and can turn it on in an as needed basis for security. By the way, Timinva runs a Mitusa to support his dual cp3s,.... does it tell ya something?
