I live in Utah has not snowed yet but a lot of rain all it did was blow some soot on my truck my truck is white so it was noticeable but not to bad. I bought some stack hats to cover them when it does snow hope this helps.

There's no harm in getting any kind of moisture in the piping as the carbon from the exhaust puts a good coating on it. It won't rust if that's what you are pondering but it WILL leave a nasty mess on the bedsides when you start it up and take off.....all of us who have/had stacks will attest to this.

This is what I use, and how I hold it down during hurricanes. But being from South Texas, we don't get any snow, and very little rain(at least this year). The problem I run into is always remembering to pull the bucket off before I go somewhere. It won't "blow off" at start up or idle. It scares the crap out of me when I've gone down the street aways and then give it some more throttle. The bucket bouncing around in the bed always gets the blood pumping, not knowing what just went wrong with the truck!
