srt 10 hood???
hey guys,
I'm getting a new hood for my truck since the hood was ruined in the crash so I called the dealership to order the srt10 hood and they keep telling me it wont fit on my 06. I've seen it on alot of 03-05 trucks and a couple 06-07s. what gives? Do you have to mod the hood to get it to fit the 06 or is the dealrship pullin my leg? It is all one piece correct?

It will fit. They are just looking at the listing for the hood and those are the years that it says it will fit. DC has not updated the listing in a couple of years. My hood was on an 05 1500...

Who has the cheapest prices on these hoods? My local dealer wants $850. I called a dealer in Va. I've ordered from before and they said $600,just a 4 1/2 hr drive to pick-up.With the price of fuel the local dealer could end up being cheaper.

Well, I had a blue truck when I got it and the hood was so nice that I didn't want to paint it so I spent $38,000 on a white truck to put under it. Maybe it wasn't such a great deal afterall....

I also had to drive to the far end of Long Island, NY to buy it. What better way to spend a Saturday.........
It seems like these hoods are everywhere on these boards but in real life they are pretty rare except for the SRT10 trucks. I love the way it looks....

82208702 this is the Mopar part number for a unpainted " primered " hood from the dealer. The hood can be had for $600 if you look around. It will cost another $300 or more to have painted and it's imperative to be done right since the hood has such a big area on it.
You can get them already painted and shipped with a one yr warranty from here..... their prices have gone up but, I suppose you're paying for the convenience.
