SPS 62 w/Smarty

You wont blow up an S300 with "juice grips" ! Let off if boost hits 60 psi, but I doubt it will. Lots easier to mess with vice grips than adjusting the rod in place. If vice grips help, add a boost elbow or adjust the rod. I ended up putting two washers under my wastegate head to shim it since stock rods are pined and not easily adjustable. Even with two thick washers per bolt, I still have to use my wastegate controller with bleeder orifice to get boost above 30 psi. I'm pretty sure your S300 based turbo has a stiffer spring so it won't need as much finesse to make boost.

I did a little test and with no added fueling... Smarty stock, Edge 0 and MP-8 0% I could light the SPS to 36 lbs. boost. You must have a issue with the waste gate. I would do like big blue said or even take the wastegate actuator loose and put a washer between the actuator and bracket to hold more tension on the rod.
