Spray in Liner before or after Gooseneck hitch install??

So on the new truck, what do y'all think??

SHould I get the Spray in done before or after the Gooseneck hitch goes in??

I think I am going to go with a B&W Turn over hitch, so I can buy the f'ver compannion hitch should the need ever arise and a Linex Spray in Liner...

I've never had a spray in Liners so I'm wondering which is better to do first??

I installed the B&W first, then had the Line-X put in. It worked out very well this way since they could seal around the holes you drill, and any rust tracks from the steel dust left by the drilling will be covered over.

I had my B&W in for about a year before I had mine done. I dont now which way is better but mine looks great. This is my first spray in liner too, as I never thought they were worth but I have to say it just makes the truck look a lot nicer to me and I believe it was money well spent.

BTW you cant go wrong with the B&W either.

I installed a b&w with a linex already in and it drilled fine. But for my own I did the b&w first.

Sprayed many a liner, best results install first spray last, limits any problems that may come up during the drilling of large diameter holes. also looks much cleaner when the liner covers evenly and no paint shows.

I'm kinda glad to see this thread. I had my B & W installed then I had my liner sprayed in. I thought that the Line-X dealer would spray over the B & W in the bed and spray the chain attachment hooks, but they didn't.

Anyone else here have the dealer spray the B & W in the bed and the hooks?

Put the hitch in first. It better seals all the holes cut into the bed. Also, get the in bed socket for the trailer plug.

I have put B&W's in both before and after bedliner jobs. The one I did before the liner spray looked the best, sprayed with Linex. The dealer covered up the center of the hitch and gave a slight overspray to cover the cut metal. I drilled that hole with a 4 1/8" hole saw so as to have some area for sealing vs the normal 4". The unit I installed after the bedliner was with a Rhino Liner and worked fine but the didn't look as good.

Your spray in liner is only as good as the guy that installs it!! Doesn't matter if its Linex or Rhino, I have liked them both.

You will like the Companion Hitch also, I love pulling the big 5'er with it, smooth as silk. Use a teflon pivot disc though instead of grease. Taking the companion in and out can get you greasy and everything you put in the bed of the truck seems to get grease on it somehow.

Just a hint for your B&W: Have your side plates powder coated before you install it. The paint on those things doesn't make it through one Michigan winter.

See-ya!

My safety chain hooks are sprayed but a buddy of mine told me that it wont stick very well and if you use them very much the liner will come off.

They guy that spayed mine also took my 6pin out of the bed and sprayed behind it. Made for a nice install.
