Speedo out of wack? Bully Dog question also.
Don't know if this is the right fourm or not but i'll give it a whirl anyways.
I just recently updated my BDTD to v2.4.0 . I reinstalled it on my truck and it didn't seem like it was working properly. So I uninstalled it again to see if anything would change. Returned the truck to stock and proceded on the install, the programmer said everything installed fine. But when I get to the option to choose my power settings (Tow/Economy, Performance, ect) I get nothing. The truck is in it's original stock form. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the box to work right?
Ok so onto my next question. After I uninstalled the BDTD my speedo seems to be out of whack. I realy don't know how to explain this but i'll give it a shot. Today on the freeway I was going 70mph and for the life of me I would of sworn I was doing 60mph, everything just seemed so slow. Now I know that w/ the programmer on the thottle is touchier then stock and it gives things that faster feeling. But then I tried to speed things up a bit, I was doing 85mph and I had BIG RIGS flying past me, so was the rest of traffic. Going that fast it seemed like I was only doing 70mph. And I know for sure those semi's were not going 90mph+, no dang way.
By removing the box did this throw my speedo out of whack? Im totally baffled by this.

It sounds to me like you played with the tire size feature. If you somehow reprogrammed for odd sized tire by accident you can fix it by going to other functions and then Tire Size. If you downloaded a other than stock tire size then the next screen you see will say Press yes to change settings or no to return to stock. If this is the case press the N button and that should fix your problem.

What about the install situation? Why won't none of the power options enable?

That's correct. However the tire size is a vin lock feature as well. You can't update or go to another truck until the Power Program is returned to stock AND the tire size is returned to stock.

The stock size is saved in the triple dog. It says 32.xx whenyou get to that screen, but that is not the stock size or what is in the truck necessarily. That 32 is just a default number it will come up to that every time. To go back to stock you have to do it like I mentioned above.

Ok so in order to REALY uninstall everything I need to adjust the tire size back to default then procede w/ the uninstall?
Then after that is complete I can go ahead and reinstall the program again and I should be able to use my power settings?
Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.
Bud, you wouldn't happen to be the master mind behind the Bully Dog systems would you?

Had a similiar issue.
I have 35" toyos and silly me thought well looky here! I can now change my speedo with the BDTD to match!
Changed the size to 35" and watched the world pass me by while I thought I was doing 70.
Timed it from mile marker to mile marker and sure enough, I was only going about 63-64.
Changed the setting to 33" and now my speedo is spot on!

I thought of putting it at 33 also and see if that makes any difference.
