Spacer of Death
Id like to voice my opinion of this spacer kit. I was traveling down Ol' Fancy Gap on 81 pulling a 40ft gooseneck trailer with one spectacular load. We had this baby loaded squatting the tires like a drunk woman in the woods when things started to go south. The wife starts to notice a shimmy and i dont think much of it, figure it might be the load or even a tire weight. Round the first curve there in the Gap when all of a sudden the front of the truck is bouncing like a basketball. Scared half to death, i immediately flip on the exhaust brake and jam the clutch trying to return to 6th gear. Ive found that on steep grades that putting it in neutral saves fuel mileage. I know what some of you are thinking, but try it sometime. As we are bouncing the wife is flipping out, all i can recall from this trip is hearing "we're gunna die" Anyways, as we are coasting down 81 like maniacs...i quickly jam on the brake pedal, when it snapped off like a twig. Darn Adjustable Pedals. Well I managed to get it stopped at the Route 7 exit, without going into the runaway ramps. My nephew and i were thinking that we could Tig-weld a piece of 3" angle iron onto the pedal linkage for a make shift pedal. Any ideas? I dont recall seeing in the warranty packet anything about breaking the pedals off because the truck was bouncing like a spaulding basketball. Anyone have a set of non adjustable pedals that wants to trade? or sell

You know, I go into this day every year, telling myself, "be prepared for all those Apri Fool's jokes. Don't be a fool." Well, 1BadBrockway, you got me. For a moment I had this sinking feeling...why did I order the adjustable pedals (don't even have the truck yet).
Good one

Fish....... Line......... & Sinker.
Used the spacer "bouncing like a basketball" quote because of the complaints about trucks that have had vibration, looseness after spacer install etc.
Enjoy

I was directed to this thread from another and while reading 1BadBrockway's post, I thought "Oh crap!" At first, I didn't want the adjustable pedals and then, at the last minute, I decided to order them. What the heck did I do? 1BadBrockway, you are bad, bad, bad!
