south bend ofe vibration

Last friday installed sbc ofe [trk is 2003 5spd qc 4x4] the truck at around 1500 or 1700 rpm sends a terrible vibration through truck. Does this sound normal? Does tranny have a bad bearing? does not do this just reving up motor truck has to be moving. vib is horrible what to do?

When my u-joints went out they felt tight also.Had to drop the drive shaft and make sure they all moved freely. One didn't.It was partially siezed.Changed them all with Spicers.

Also did you have to upgrade to a 6 speed flywheel? If so were the bolts torqued properly?Just thinking of alternatives.

Pennzoil syncromesh in the tranny. I would have to go with Jason on this. Sounds like a U-joint. On the flywheel bolts, did you use threadlocker?

Are you certain on the syncromesh?I thought the nv4500's ran a heavier oil like Castrol Syntorq GL-4.
