Question Something strange

Going to pick up some lumber this morning I'm getting on the freeway on ramp decided to put the Quad box on a 100 hp got up to about 80 and let off the throttle stepped on it again and it sounds like i have a leaf blower next to me in passenger seat, I pulled off the freeway and inspected everything can't see any hoses blown off so now i have no power and the EGTs are way up there, well i took all the stuff off and took it to the dealer in my area see what he says I'm thinking i might of blown the inter cooler? its the plastic one was talking with Jeremy at Quad he says the late 2005s have metal ones well i guess I'll just have wait and see what the dealer says.

sounds like you blew your intercooler boot. Easy fix, hopefully for your sake you don't get the shaft if they find that quad for that visit

If you got the boost up too high (it'll hit 38 easy with the Quad) you could easily bust the ends off that intercooler. Do you have any codes?

Yes until 12 midnight, just picked it up it looks a little different to me than the old one, service guy said its a improved upgrade, now tomorrow got to put all the goodies back on I think I will stay away from 100 hp setting I usually use the 60hp when towing my fifth wheel this morning was the first time I really hammered it on the 100 hp setting when I looked down at the boost it was at 38 psi.

You aren't going to hurt the metal intercooler. I am actually suprised that your plastic one lasted as long as it did pulling a trailer!

Don't be scared to use the power now!
