Sold Edge J/A, have MP8, now what??Smarty?
Hey guys.
After 3yrs as a happy user, I traded the Edge for some tools.
Now I would like to replace it. Before I ask with what, here is my mods at the moment.
Engine:
AFE Stage 2 filter (need some new parts for this)
CAT and Muffler removed.
In place of CAT Magnaflow 4" straightthrough
In place of muffler, Dynomax Buillit 4" straightthrough
Rokk Sensor
TST Mp-8
EGT, Boost, Trans temp gauge
Trans:
Hawk VB
Magtech deep pan
89% converter with front billit cover
All trans mods done at time of first mods on truck, been very reliable for 50k miles now
Truck:
6" lift, 37s, 3.73s...truck used offroad and for some towing/hauling.
SO, I would like to get a second lift pump, Glacier Diesel last time I looked is good. I would like to run dual lift pumps (if this is possible), stock and glacier with 2 fuel lines. I need reliability out of this truck, so the idea of 2 pumps is good IMO.
WHICH programmer should I get to stack with Mp-8?
I would like to run Smarty. Is Smarty TNT for me? I dont have to turn the mp-8 on much if its too much for my truck. I will eventually upgrade my turbo from stock, but, will keep it tow friendly.
I used to run the edge on level 5 and mp-8 on 15-20% daily and it worked good. I dont abuse this truck. I use it, but, dont abuse it.
Is TNT too much? I def. want the ability to control torque managment and shift defuel, as well as speed limiter.
I would like to get the truck into the mid/low 13s on 37s.
Thanks,
Igor.

Well, for the smarty train comment, he asked. That sounds like a negative comment, I'll leave it at that.
I went from an edge/MP8 stack to the smarty/MP8, and it is a whole different world for the better.

Had other things on the plate... you know how it is. I came back from the NC 18 event into a house move and a prep for a deployment.
They say that I'll probalbly be in the 12.3x's with the tnt. I was 12.46 with the revo, and 10 lbs of boost on the line, max...

I have the TNT/R but still have not been to the track or a Dyno. I am happy with the combo and for daily use, even towing it works great. Does anyone knoow if the older Smarty can be outfitted with in-cab adjustability like the new ones? Is that even available as an option for the TNT/R? Thanks and I didn't mean to hijack but maybe others have the same question.
