So WHERE to put a trans temp sensor?

Probe threads/test port threads

PPSI:
I recently installed mine and it went directly into the 1/8" NPT plug for the governor test port.".... Another bit of trouble I had was the threading on the probe which was not tapered and did not readily go into the plug hole. I tapped the hole deeper and it was OK."

Thats because your probe isnt 1/8 NPT. I found out last night that the new probe I just ordered isnt either (Isspro). It looks like 1/4-24 thread.

Not sure what I'm going to do now.....I'm not comfortable re-threading into the tranny. Anyone else run into this issue?????

Have you tried to locate and adapter/ 1/8 male to 1/4 female?

Not yet. It doesnt seem to me that the physical size of the hole to probe would allow an adaptor to be used. But I'll head to the parts store to see what they have that might work.
