So, can my stock LP handle a Quad/VA3.2 stack?

I don't plan on drag racing but I do drive like an idiot sometimes. I plan on upgrading to a better fuel pump but I'm thinking of doing the stack first to see how it works out. Those fuel pumps are so darn expensive!!! Why doesn't someone come up with a way to get more out of the stock LP!!!

Anyways, I got a line on a new 3.2 at a very good price and I don't want to turn it down but I want to make sure it's worth buying....

Any input from guys running this combo are certainly appreciated..

Man, my wife's gonna kill me........

Not likely. When I was running the stock lift pump, I could pull pressure down to zero pretty easily with just an old 100hp pressure box.

I would pick it up anyway though. That combo with a good pump feeding it runs like mad.

In the gas efi world (in my case Mustang EFI with superchargers) one option was a product by Kenne Bell (supercharger manufacturer) called a Boost-A-Pump.

Its boost sensitive and gradually increases voltage to the fuel pump as boost goes up. Not sure if this would be a good idea or not on diesel pumps but they do seems to last a long time with the electric gasoline pumps in the cars.

Anybody else ever considered this?

NO, that is the current stack i have and it will suck the stock lift pump to 0 in a second. Installed a FASS and i never see below 15 PSI. Its a great stack.

Well I ordered the box because it was a great deal and the FASS will be coming soon after. They are backordered right now. Unless someone knows a place that might have them in stock. I'd love to have all this on the truck for the Dyno November 13th........

Have you tried Rip Rook (www.sourceautomotive.biz)? Great price. Definitely the 95gph pump. The 150 is way overkill and makes a lot more racket.

napa, I e-mailed them today and did not get an answer yet.

wap, I'll try but I only get three pulls so I want to get one stock and then try for the most power. What levels do you run yours on mostly and what levels feel like they are giving the most power? If anyone else can tell me this I won't have to waste time while on the dyno...

Dzilla, I meant (in your case) the seat of the pants feel, I would also like dyno numbers but those dynos can be a little screwy sometimes but my butt never lies.
For me I run my quad on 60 95% of the time and I still get a little sideways sometimes if I am in a hurry at a stop sign. the other 5% I am on 130 or 140 or what ever it is and its pretty fun but I havent done my fuel system yet either and dont want to mess up my lp.
