Snow Stage II Water/Meth
I'd like to hear from members who are running this system. I pretty well know the up side to this system. What are the down sides that someone who is running it has experienced,....if any? Pls advise.

it does look like a nice option, a little more power and lower egt's.... this setup has caught my eye as well and with the 30 60 100 quad box sitting waiting for a sunny afternoon I am looking more and more at the snow setup as well so I'll tag onto this post and request input as well.

adds timing, so when your tune already has excessive timing serious problems can occur(detonation)
excessive cylinder pressures, blow head gaskets, have heard of bent rods from excessive timing, i think kits with variable flow rates have an advantage

Have I missed something?

The ony downside I've found is that I keep having to open the hood to add water/meth.
The methanol "adds" timing in that it can ignite before diesel injection begins and casue a big pressure spike. The addition of water prevents this from happening. This is why it is recommended to stick with methanol concentrations of 50% or lower.

Snow system
I found it interesting that on Snow Performance's site it said in a pinch you could use windshield solvent which is normally 40/60 mix of ethanol to water. Anybody use that combo?

Hey OT-OF-HERE, have you been following Mooseman's water/meth thread in the 2nd Gen forum? He just posted some results (dyno) and they are pretty impressive. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=79208
As for myself, I love the Snow kit and don't plan on giving it back.

Guys, I'm looking at the stage 3 digital boost cooler. I was in a 94 with big injectors drag comp and twins. On some quiet country roads we did half a dozen 2 mile runs. This truck is working great and sounds like a rocket ship. Without the water methanol 20% the truck would lay rubber from a rolling stop and at every shift up to 100 mph. With the boost cooler it was crazy fast at 100 mph he pinned it and it stuck us to the seat and went to 120 in seconds. It feels like a 200 hp shot of nitrous only the temps don't go crazy. He runs two large nozzles and one small one starts at 18 all in at 30 he pins the boost gauge at 60 and our mech thinks it is making 75 psi. All was under 1500 degrees....very nice. Mine is on order. We're starting the twins project asap. ks
