So i finally bit the bullet and bought a smarty. All i can say is this thing is awsome, but my clutch still wont slip(its stock) no matter what i try. But besides that point, how does one go about getting the newer programs for the smarty, ie 4.4 or the 4.3 or the 4.2 etc. You get the point. Right now mine is still the original programing i think and id like to try a different one, But one question first, is it worth trying a different one, cause i know you cant go back right? Any comments just let me know. And thanks again from MADS for an awsome product.

P.S. I plan on having new injectors installed soon and another turbo or a bigger one.

I ran the software that came on my smarty on my 04. I think they make a tune for turbo/injectors. My clutch would slip in my 04 in 5th and 6th if you bog it. Have you tried running it on 9?

I'll bet the clutch will definitely slip when you turn it up. I drove mine almost a year with it slipping ( put a dual disk clutch in finally). Like I said earlier, 5th and 6th would slip pretty bad if I lugged it. I learned to drive it, and got great mileage with the smarty on sw9(when I kept my foot out of it!). I have a triple dog on my 06 now and I want to put a smarty on it so bad. The ONLY reason I have it, is because I can switch the power levels on the go when i tow ( mainly because of the auto tranny).

You can still switch the power level on the go....with Smarty! Just control the right foot...

Seriously, I tow pretty heavy on Level 9 and a stock trans. So far it's fine, I just don't push it hard while towing.
