Not at all....and I beat my truck.

4.5" lift 35" toyo MT's at 127mph and its smooth but w/ a typical high speed vibration you'd expect from pushing a lifted 7,000lb truck through the air at high speed.

do both your trucks shake?

Regarding mileage fraud...

DC should have a massive class action suit against them .. All 1997's for the stock tires had a speedo 10% off... For every 100 you drove it registered 110. Changing tires to the good old Gen 1 tires fixed it for me. I have no idea if all gen 2's years were like this. But the 1997s were for sure.

From what I heard... They had to change the height of the tires to pass government tests but did noting to correct the speedo error after making the change. With a 100,000 drive train warrantee every person got ripped off for 10,000 miles and at the time you need it the most!

If 10% under is with in "spec" then 10% over MUST BE with in "spec" So changing it 10% is not ripping DC off. What goes around comes around?

I have not checked my truck yet.. it seems to be close. Maybe this weekend I will take a bast up the highway.... and see what DC set the computer to for stock tires...

I was soooo upset when I noticed this on my 1997 which was box stock till I ran out the warrantee

BACK on topic... Anyone D/L the new fixed version and see if it messes up a 2006.

As posted, I got to 121. With 117k on truck now, original ball joints and etc. I am amazed how smooth it actually is. In my old 70 Chevelle SS454, 120 mph was like

You are right about that

I was stupid high school kid when I let it go... needed money to support my motocross habit.

That was a great car (albeit in poor shape in the interior). I had the LS6, 4 sp manual and cowl induction... I really miss it.

I thought CAN Bus vehicles were not effected???

Also

It would be nice to add a feature to the SMARTY that you could program whatever number you want the key counter to be!

That works pretty well. Tried it on the dyno afew weeks ago and it made it to 125 before I backed out of it.

thanks for steppin up on this drillpipe, i am not sayin everyone try this for there daily driver, but simply saying what could be done for drag racing or dyno pulls. everyone knows the more rpm the more hp numbers. just here to help not cause a big lawsuit or something. i did not know anything about with the 1997 though that is crazy that, that can be done and known about and nothing done to repremand it.

The newist update does not work on my truck still!!! I tried it today on a mustang dyno And power fell off at about 3200rpm or about 110 Speed limiter is not off of my truck yet. And when I did hit 110 I threw the code for map sensor voltage to high. What gives Bob?
