that means dealers are going to be able to tell if you had a programmer in your truck now if does reset your key count. That was the whole point alot of people buy the smarty over all the other programmer out there. It going to be now 100% detectable by the dealer if that the case. That means I am keep my old program intill he fix that problem.

Mads is aware of the issues and are taking actions to rectify the problem. The trip data can be replaced with a recovery program.
I am soing what I can for now
Thanks

Ok, no need to panic we have a fix for those who may have had the trip data issue.
Smarty has stored the trip data so it can be rewritten back into the ecm.
Nils, Marco is sending you an email

Bob,
Since we can't use the speed limiter with the Beta 4.4, is the 4.4 beta going to be released to the public soon with this option, maybe with any additional pressure added? I'd like more pressure so I don't have to add a pressure box (like XZT). Also, will there be any wild torque options with the 4.4 when I goes public?

Gang,
as you've found out on your own ( Sorry !) , the software for the 5.9L CR with the user setable speed limiter had a bug. Smarty did not write the trip data , key counts and and and... back into the ECM.
What can I say? It's not a perfect world...
First of all, not all trucks have been affected by the missing trip data. Years 03 to 05.5 had the problem but the CAN bus based trucks ( 06's & 07's ) are a OK.
What happened was that Smarty did read and store the trip data into his memory but did not write them back into the ECM! ARGH!!!
Now if you did only ONE download with the speed limiter software then the trip data(s) are still stored in Smarty's memory! If that's your case then please get into touch with Bob or me. It's simple to get the trip data back into the ECM.
If you have done more than just one download then the situation is a little bit more complicated but we still can solve the problem with a truck specific software. Please contact Bob or me...
Last, not least. The bug is found and solved. The new updates are already published on our website.
BTW, the speed limiter is setable anywhere from 25 to 250 Mph.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Can we get an official word from Bob or Marco about the specific changes to this new download compared to the previous? Is it speed limiter adjustment only or are there other changes as well?
