What does having "added timing" vs "no added timing" do for ya? Added timing is for mileage, right? If so, who would go without it?

Bob, Any chance of a program for more drivability for stock turbos and injectors? The throttle response is a little wild on higher settings. Also, I think the speed limiter really needs to go.

Marco returns from holiday at the end of this week. I bet there will be many more programs available then what we have today.

The product will be refined and more options added in the future.

Thank you

I have had it stacked with TST R49 w/later twins for a few days now. I just have not had time to really do any testing. I had SW 60hp + Timing. With TST 0/0 I still have too much smoke to drive comfortable in the city. The Smarty on my truck has a very touchy throttle, and with the Custom low stall triple disc TC and trans build city driving is a little nerve wracking. I set TST to 3/1 and things were a little better. There is definitely some injector rattle with timing from both. Gotta get my TST upgraded for timing control that is for sure. My problem is neither the Smarty or the TST spool the SPS66 very fast. My truck is not that modded, just air intake, exhaust, FASS, SPS66 and fully build TC/Trans. When I get boost up to 15psi the smoke cleans up pretty good and definitely has low end power.

I have removed the Smarty for now. Try to get time this weekend to do some real testing at the track. I am going to plug the EZ back in and see if that helps spool the turbo faster. Feels like there is a very strong combo with it. I have seen it pull strong through 3200rpms and that is nice to see. Just need test and tune time.

Friend with a stock 2003 has the Smarty and his is not really that smokey. Just my truck configuration I guess.

So is the Edge J/A safer for a mostly stock truck, or does it depend on how high you set the Smarty

Edge Juice is absolutely safer, no comparison. Even on SW 2, half way abuse would tear up a stock tranny.

My truck is completely stock, well almost, MBRP and Amsoil air filter. I’m also installing my FASS very soon. I have the Smarty and love it, but I returned my truck to the stock setting for fear of killing my tranny. I’m interested primarily in settings 1-3. What would you guys recommended for tranny upgrades? I’m looking to go with Suncoast, opinions aside on Suncoast, would VB/TC be enough or should I consider the flex plate? I would love to drop for a complete race tranny, but not practical. My truck is a daily driver and I pull an 8000-pound boat in the summer. What upgrades will complement the Smarty and save my tranny?

Thx,

Sid

BOB,
Are the Smarty's going to be ready for the 06's soon? Is September still the target date? And will it have better throttle control when it is released? I am also considering installing it on a stock truck... What level should I run it on? I have a light foot and mostly looking for a little extra power and some more MPG's...
