Smarty and stock injectors
Truck just came back from the dealer for injector rattle problem. It has 96,000 miles on the odometer, took advantage before cummins 100,000 waranty ran out. The truck has had this rattle ever since I installed a Quad XZT tow module on it about 40,000 miles ago. Anyway #3 injector was found to be operating at 85% and the rest at 99 to 103%. #3 injector replaced with a new one.All other injectors flushed with their Wynn's injector cleaner(199.00} for service> The truck seems to run a lot quieter and smoother.The Quadzilla module is no longer used,been running the Smarty for the last 15000 miles. Question is Should I hook up the Smarty again{injector rattle more apparent}???

I have run Quads Race box since 04, I haven't had....nevermind, I'm not going to say that. I wouldn't believe the XZT had anything to do w/ your problem, do you use lube w/ ULSD and good filtration?

I believe the XZT contributed to the failing of the injector with the added pressure that it uses. Different trucks react differently to pressure boxes. I've noticed a lot of 05 trucks have timing rattle whendifferent pressure boxes or programmers are used.Anyway been using 1 qt. 2 stoke oil for the last 40,000 plus miles and changingthe fuel filterevery 7500 miles along with oil change using that balwin fuel filter. Just wondering if that 4.11 program would help reducing the rattle.

The xzt is pressure box.Anybody out there tell me how to get the 4.11. I have the smarty s04. Is it possible to run it with that?? anyone have those file ???
