Smarty Software Update

Is anyone running the:
Smarty S-06A Ver. 4.05A, Data: 4.05A Wild torque management increase

On stock turbo/injectors. From what I can tell on the downloads page that this software is for my truck. I will have my II6280 any day, but would like to try this if it wont grenade my motor.

The wild part is for the built tranny. The second part is the aftermarket turbo and or injectors. If you have an aftermarket turbo then that version of the smarty will have boost tables that exceed the boost levels of the stock turbo. The aftermarket injectors programs have less timing in their programming as the increased flow injectors by their method of operating allow more fuel into the cylinder sooner which is in effect advancing the timing so there have been problems with some trucks getting excessive timing rattle. If you don't have an aftermarket turbo you will thrash the stock one. If you don't have modified injectors then you will get less timing and therefore less power or less optimal fueling. Marco put alot of work into having programs that are closer to ideal for modded trucks....so follow the programs for the mods you have not the mods you wish to have. ks

Oh yeah if your tranny doesn't have upgraded clutches then the wild program will probably fry the od and direct clutches sooner rater than later. Wild really is for "fully" built trannies not upgraded trannies. I'd hate to see you trash the good work you've done with your tranny so far. Without torque management your flexplate will have a tendancy to get pretty stressed. ks

ABC (Kerry if I may?) , are you sayin that this guy is tryin to dl the wrong software for his truck? I should've looked and I dont type fast so I dont want to go back and look at his sig but I think the software that he is running is the same as me. WILD Thing for stock inj/turbo.

I know I have stock inj/turbo, S-06a (version of the smarty) 4.05 4.05.

The site says stock turbo/injectors click here and then another that just says all other downloads click here. When I did not find the wild thing on the other page I clicked the other one. I thought that with a built auto/clutch like I have, that I could dl this program without destroying my turbo. It says stock motor with atleast built tranny/clutch. So I thought this is me.

I dont mind killing my stocker but I just spent a bundle on work tools and tires and I dont think the wife can handle another couple of grand just yet for a turbo. I need till June so if this is the grim reaper for tha holset then I need to take it back a notch. Enuff that it will make it till june.

Wild is torque management (probably none). Wild does have different versions for injectors and turbos.
So if you pick Wild with stock injectors/turbo you should be fine since you have a aftermarket clutch.
